New England College Offers Poetry Out Loud
Scholarship in New Hampshire
New Hampshire high school students who are finalists or alternates in the Poetry Out Loud competition now have a chance to win a scholarship to New England College. The Henniker liberal arts school is offering a scholarship of from $10,000 to $15,000 per year, depending on the student’s grade point average.
New Hampshire Poetry Out Loud is sponsored by the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts (NHSCA), the National Endowment for the Arts, and The Poetry Foundation, in cooperation with the Monadnock Writers Group, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, New Hampshire Writers Project, the Poetry Society of New Hampshire, the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire, and the Frost Place in Franconia.
To qualify for the scholarship, finalists must be enrolled as full-time students at New England College. Scholarship candidates will receive priority application review and their application fees will be waived.
Recipients of the scholarship will be awarded the above amount each year while enrolled at New England College, provided they maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
